Will and I met in college in Newport, RI. This sculpture is located right in the heart of downtown. It was one of my favorite parts of the downtown area. When we went to Rhode Island for my half marathon, we detoured to Newport to show the kids where we met. It feels sort of full circle to have a picture of my girls here, it is such a part of my past and now they get to be part of that, too.

Cool statue! Ed and I met at Barnes and Noble (we both worked there), so I guess we'll have to take the kids to that store to show them where we met. I hope they don't close it down any time soon! LOL
As an ocean loving woman who grew up swimming in the Atlantic, I have to say I love that statue. It's great that you got to share it with your girls.
Andy and I met while working at Waldenbooks. Beth's comment reminded me to check and see if our old store is still open. It is not. Maybe that's because I now shop B&N mostly.
We took Lana to the street in Chicago where Bill and I shared our first kiss and later got engaged. We also took a photo :)
