Princesses

Allie, my 3 year old is obsessed with princesses. Any princess, all princesses, non-specific princesses, you get the idea. She relates everything to princesses. She bites pretzels into the shape of glass slippers, whenever the clock chimes she runs from the room saying she is late leaving the ball, and she always wears her dress up shoes around the house and yard (incidentally, she walks better in heels than I do). She wears a princess dress over her regular clothes 9 times out of 10. She has worn them to the grocery store, out to dinner, to Target to pick out a new princess dress and pretty much any place else you could think of. We went to a princess themed party, and she was in her glory because most of the little girls were dressed in gowns, too. The other day we were in Home Depot (in full princess dress) and another little girl looked at Allie and said, "look, Mommy that little girl is a princess!" I think that made Allie's day, because she thinks that she really is a princess. I love seeing her dressed like that, especially when she is digging in the dirt, rolling around in the yard, or doing something equally un-princessy. She is just my kind of princess.
